Global
Most churches find that it is extraordinarily difficult to do global missions well. This is simply because there are so many challenging issues to be faced when engaging in global missions. Difficulties range from on-the-ground program struggles and cross-cultural differences to inappropriate expectations on both sides, and the inability to follow-through with the original plan due to any number of “unforeseen issues.” Having learned this lesson the hard way ourselves, Antioch Church has created a strategic relationship with World Relief called World Relief NEXT in order to help us avoid any further potential missions “trip-ups.”
World Relief has a long history of remarkable relief, development and missional work around the world. By coming along side their efforts and expertise with the World Relief NEXT project we are able to engage issues around the world like never before. Through unconventional methods (non-monetary) we have been able to launch several awareness raising campaigns, fundraising ideas and educational opportunities. Antioch will continually work in conjunction with World Relief NEXT to create opportunities for our people to engage in global missions, namely in Africa (Why Africa?).
